Course information
You will gain experience in using industry standard equipment and software to create moving images. In addition, you will learn about the industry and its practices.
2 Years
In class, face to face.
Over two years, you will undertake 5 units. These will be both internally and externally set and assessed. Two out of the 5 units are mandatory (Film Production – Fiction and Digital Media Skills) and one of these (Digital Media Skills) are externally set and assessed.
There will be a range of both practical and theoretical assessment within each unit, which cover scriptwriting, editing, stop motion and single camera production. Evidence will be produced in the form of moving creative production, written work, presentations, imagery and observations.
Level 3 EDEXCEL BTEC National Extended Certificate in Digital Film and Video Production
During your two years of study you will undertake a work placement. You will also hear from a variety of industry speakers, visit careers’ fairs and attend workshops, trips and visits.
