Course Overview

This is a course for those who have completed at least 4 years of study in French to a high level such as A level/Higher Intermediate/Advanced or the equivalent and wish to continue improving their spoken language skills in a structured way. You should be able to read and understand original texts such as newspapers and speak confidently on a variety of topics.

Satisfactory completion of French A Level or equivalent.

Course information

During the course, you will have opportunities to talk about a wide range of subjects from news and current events to French culture and civilization.

The aim is to develop language skills in an occupational or more general context. Each week you will develop and improve your communication skills through conversations and debates in class using authentic documents from the internet, news etc.

You will also have the opportunity to re-visit language structures by studying grammar rules in genuine contexts.

2 hours per week, 10 weeks


You are not required to take any exams or formal assessments.
