While studying at Strode’s and Windsor Colleges you will have the chance to broaden your experience, meet new people, learn additional skills and have fun.
College life
Your student experience
Coming to Strode’s or Windsor will give you the chance to develop your skills through a range of extra-curricular activities. These activities will allow you to make new friends, have fun and develop transferable skills to enhance your CV or UCAS personal statement.
- Trips related to your course
- Work placements
- Raising funds for charity as part of the Student Union
- Representing your class as a tutor or course rep
Student Union
We have Student Parliaments, Liaison Committees and a Student Union to encourage feedback from our students. Group reps are elected and make up the Student Parliament and are responsible for representing the views of their class. The course reps also attend regular meetings to discuss their feedback and ideas with the College’s senior management team.
Events
To help settle you into College, be part of our community and to prepare you for your next steps, we run a variety of events and activities including:
- Community events such as Freshers Fairs and Winter Fairs
- Annual careers pathway, Higher Education and employment fairs
- Termly Student Parliaments and Liaison Committees
- Curriculum led events such as fundraising, fashion shows, health and fitness week, and talent shows
LGBTQ+
We run an LGBTQ+ group that is open to all LGBTQ+ students and allies across all four campuses. The group runs every Wednesday over Google Meet and we are a group of students and staff happy to listen and help you to be better equipped for college. With external speakers and events lined up such as February Pride week, we welcome LGBTQ+ and their allies to join our friendly community.
